The land comprising the SSU-04 Dinamita sector is located to the south of the municipality of Barakaldo, more specifically to the south of the La Paz neighbourhood. The site is bounded by the Dinamita neighbourhood, the Burceña neighbourhood, the A-8 highway, the La Paz neighbourhood, the La Siebe neighbourhood, the Institute of Occupational Hygiene and the La Constancia neighbourhood, part of which are affected by the project. The Cruces Hospital, the A-8 highway and the Bilbao Metro are located within a radius of 1 km.
The defined urbanization works include the execution of demolition, cuttings and embankments, walls, structures and drainage networks necessary for the preparation of the area and the construction of the roads. All these activities include the development works themselves, both surface works and those related to the subway networks for the distribution of drinking water, wastewater, sewage, sewage, electricity and lighting, telephony and gas.
For the correct definition of the works, an important aspect has been the study of the infrastructures, both of the existing services for their correct replacement and for the appropriate calculation of the necessary forecasts to serve the urbanizations of La Siebe and Dinamita.
This is an area of difficult configuration as it is developed along a very steep slope. For this reason, the necessary walls are included in this urbanization to bridge the differences in elevation generated in the projection of the platforms in the central areas of the urbanization.
The most significant elements of the project are: earthworks, replacement of services affected by the construction of the new urbanization, roads, walls, landscaped areas with walkways and viewpoints, new services for the urbanization (water supply, separate sewage network [sewage], rainwater network, electricity, telephony and lighting) and street furniture.
