The object of this contract is the project development that mainly includes the rehabilitation of the current San Fausto square in Basauri, following the guidelines outlined in the Special Urban Regeneration Plan (PERU) for the “San Fausto – Bidebieta – Pozokoetxe” distribution area finally approved in February 2018.
It is intended to provide an appropriate technical solution to the San Fausto square seeking an integrated intervention in the environment that responds to the needs of free and public space and improves the connectivity that the municipality needs. All this taking into consideration both the slopes of the bridge and Autonomy Street.
In order to make the project viable, the construction of a new slab must be designed to join the new building levels (plot RE-6), the existing bridge levels and the Autonomy Street levels, to create a square at street level. The proposed covering solution will adequately resolve the impact generated on the landscape and will seek the greatest possible integration. Special attention will be paid to the adjacent streets, seeking to improve connectivity from the nearest streets such as Florián Tolosa or Luis Autonomía, Arizgoiti Square and San Fausto Square itself.
At all times it will be a friendly action with the environment and will seek that the public space generated with the new slab compensates the difference in existing heights and has a great usability. The elements that the project will have in order to urbanize this space will pursue the objective of bringing this space closer to the citizens.
The work to be done will differ in a first phase of work that will include the description of 3 design proposals for the Plaza San Fausto. The intention is to use this documentation to establish a process of citizen participation that allows citizens to contribute the final design that will have the future San Fausto square.
The second phase will be the drafting of the Project with the square design resulting from the citizen participation process. The third phase will be the construction management. The awarded team will be responsible for the project management of the works. This project management includes: project management, project execution management and health and safety coordination.
