The purpose of this contract is the service (initially for two years, 2019 to 2022) of technical assistance for the developing of water supply projects and construction site supervision and all kinds of technical collaborations to the Subdirectorate of Water Supply Projects and Works of the Technical Services of the Bilbao Bizkaia Water Consortium (CABB).

In line with the CABB Investment Plan for the period 2018-2021 and the objectives of guaranteeing water supply in quality, quantity and availability to all the consortium municipalities in addition to collaborating in the improvement of the ecological status of the bodies of water in the Consortium’s management area, different initiatives are being developed. These initiatives consist of the construction of new primary network pipelines to increase the meshing of networks and connections between systems, the incorporation of new resources and the enlargement and renovation of the existing Drinking Water Treatment Stations, also modernizing the treatment processes.

Within the technical works object of the present contract, all of them carried out under the BIM methodology, there are geotechnical studies, topography, delineation works, studies and construction projects, works follow-up and liquidation, as well as network inventories and incorporation of municipalities and engineering for specific developments.

The scope of the work is focused on all CABB systems, except those of the Zadorra and Ordunte. Among the most important actions included in the contract are the interconnection of Uribe-Kosta/ Munguiesado and the Ibazeta well connection – Iparragirre DWTP, Markina. Other works or facilities associated with the operation will also be undertaken, such as the remodeling and enlargement of the Garaizar DWTP.

On the other hand, other works resulting from the agreement between Provincial Council of Bizkaia and CABB, such as the pumping from the Gartxeta DWTP to the new Gorbeo reservoir, the new Gorbeo reservoir and the piping to the La Antigua district in Orduña, Phase I: Gartxeta-Arc de Oruro DWTP, should also be highlighted.
